Kim Ohanneson is the founder/principal of Ardent Spirits L.A. and a Certified Whisky (& Gin!) Ambassador and Educator (BIIAB) who shares tastings, talks, and tales with whisky aficionados and the whiskey curious for corporations, organizations, and private clients.
Kim is also the President of Women Who Whiskey ~ Los Angeles. Launched in March 2016, the L.A. chapter of Women Who Whiskey, an international whiskey appreciation club for women (and men!), is the largest in the Western Hemisphere with 3000+ members. Kim produces three to five spirit-centric events a month with a focus on fun and education.
As the co-founder, producer, and co-host of the bimonthly WHISKY & POETRY SALON, Kim has been “trading guests whisky for words” and sharing dynamic performance poets with L.A.’s whisky and literary enthusiasts since 2012.
Kim also curates and leads the “Highlands & Islands” Distillery Tour to distilleries in Scotland, Ireland, and the Isle of Man in conjunction with a small, 312-person luxury cruise ship.
Kim has also created whiskey and cocktail experiences for IF ONLY: Extraordinary Experiences for Good, Cartwheel Art Tours, and Certified Badass, and was one of the first 200 Airbnb Experience hosts worldwide.
